Yo.

Current Mood: Tired, but content.
Current Song: The Party Song - Blink 182
Random Thought:

I need to freakin' sleep. My personality gets so bland when I am sleep deprived. All my randomness and humor is taken down five notches.

Okay. Well.

Lets see.

Where to start.

Okay. Last weekend was great. I went home on Friday. I was able to take the train into Newark Penn Station, and my dad picked me up from there. My goal was to be home in time to pick up my brother and cousin from High School. I got there in time. My brother knew I was coming home, but he didn't know I was picking him up, so I suppose I pleasantly surprised him.
After I arrived at school, I decided to go explore the school, see the new additions to the building, maybe run into a few friends.
Wow. The school, even in this uncompleted state, has changed quite a bit. I got to see a new wing that was you can get to via B ball downstairs. The new track was up. Nice. very nice.
I saw a lot of people I knew, a majority of them from track. I didn't realize how many new people I met doing track for one season.
I didn't see any teachers. I saw my English teacher from last year, Miss Storti, form a distance, but I didn't say anything to her. I don't really know why. I'm definitely going to make an effort to say hello to all my teachers next time I visit the school (which will probably be sometime in October).

So after I saw the school, I went home, relaxed, had a home cooked meal, and basically just hung out the rest of the night. I designated Friday night as my "Stay in and do work" night, because I had so much to do, and it would be very difficult to complete if I didn't sacrifice a night. My brother and dad went to the first home football game for Livingston, which I heard was very crowded. We won the game though. Beat East Orange.
Afterwards, when they got back, I went to McDonalds with my brother to get McFlurries. I hadn't had a McFlurry since before I left for College.

Okay. Saturday. Slept in. Did work in the afternoon. Then Family party. Every year, towards the end of September, my family has a party celebrating my birthday (September 13th ) and my brother's (October 4th). It was a great day. I got to spend a lot of time with my little cousin Kaityln. She's two years old, and doesn't exactly understand the concept of yards yet. She would constantly venture into my neighbors yards and go on their swingsets. Even when we would take her out of their yards, she would make her way back there soon enough.
Later on, my dad, aunts, and uncles engaged in an entertaining discussion about politics, amoung other things. Always interesting when this occurs, as many members of my family have very strong opinions regarding many political issues.
After that, we decided to watch some old videos of the my brother and I when we were younger. We watched videos from when I was almost five and my brother was almost two. Always enjoyable.
Later on, my brother and I went for a walk to Collins. Probably the highlight of my weekend. Just to be able to talk to someone about what's going on in your life, and get responses that show that they care and understand is something that everyone needs. With my brother, I get that everytime I talk to him. With my brother, we can have downright hilarious conversations to extremely serious ones. He's only 14, but his maturity level is very high. I am thankful everyday that I have the brother that I have.
Sunday.. hmm. Worked out with my dad. Then went to Verona park. Verona park is beautiful. I hadn't been there for a very long time, I can't even recall the last time I went there. The construction that was going on the last time I saw it was completed, and the park is looking just excellent. I went there with my dad and brother, we had great conversations and overall just enjoyed being outside in superb weather. I took tons of pictures, as I am trying to open up photography as a hobby. I think my picture came out pretty good, a lot of shots of the scenary of Verona park.

I returned to college Sunday night. On the way there, I talked to my grandpa on the telephone for a good while, and I was glad. I really have not talked to him extensively in a long time. He's a very interesting, journeyed man, and I love talking to him.
When I got back to college, I watched the last game at Yankee Stadium. Loved it. I am going to severely miss that Stadium. So many memories.
This past week at college, largely uneventful. I had very little free time. I was either at class, doing homework, playing frisbee or at a club event/meeting. There's so many things I want to do that require free time. I want to continue the short story I'm writing. I want to write more on this blog. I want to read up on politics and other areas of interest. I want to work out and run a lot more. I want to socialize more during the week. I want to write for the newspaper! There simply aren't enough hours in the day.

When Friday rolled around, things got a little more relaxing. Friday night, I watched some of the debates (which I need to watch again, atleast the parts I missed) and then went to the movies. Saw My Best Friend's Girl, with Dane Cook. I enjoyed it. Yes, it was cliche, yes it was a chick flick, but hey, I like those type of movies. Sometimes I go to movies just to be entertained for a few hours, and I was. After that, I just hung out with some friends in their dorm rooms. It was a good night. I didn't get into bed into 4 am though.

Saturday, I did work (edited my essay due monday, glad I got this over with) and worked out/ran. After that, watched Wanted again in a lounge on campus, and then hung out with some friends again in their dorms. Got to play with playdo. =). Also, we looked through our facebook photos. I realized that, despite my beliefs, I did do SOMETHING at home. I did have a life, sort of. I always have had the opinion that I really didn't do much back in Livingston. It's true. My experiences are limited. But I did have experiences. Not as many as I should have, if I were more adventerous and took more chances (something I would like to do here at college) but I did do something. I had a good night, once again. And once again, went to bed at 4 am.
The delimma I'm currently in that I'm having trouble figuring at things to do without drinking. The group of friends is having trouble deciding different activities to do if we don't got to parties. I mean, hanging out like we have the past few nights if completely fine with me, I'm not difficult to entertain. I have no probably just chilling. But it still would be helpful to figure out some new things to do, besides going to the movies.

Anyway, long post. I should be able to make a post by midweek. Probably going to expand upon my last few points. Right now, I need to get some work done.

I'm out.
Chris
