Random Thought:
I find that I too often get caught up in my thoughts, so much so that I'm not aware of what physical actions my body is performing. For example, today in the shower, I was thinking about something or other, and I was not aware if I had washed my hair yet. I just could not recall if I had or not, because I was so involved in what was going on in my head. I ended up washing my hair twice, as I did eventually remember what I had done. Hey, what can I say? Atleast my hair will be a bit more clean tomorrow.
So Today. Martin Luther King Day. People tend to forget that this isn't just a day off of school, its a day of remembrence for one of the most important men in the history of the United States. What MLK did for this country, the massive civil rights gains he acheived, should be looked at with a great respect.
On another note, I went to Barnes and Noble today (my FAVORITE bookstore) to do some browsing ( I believe I mentioned this in yesterdays post). It was great. (Very descriptive, I know). I went with glen, and spent a few hours in my usual areas. I always start off in the magazine area, and sift through the video game magazines. I sometimes feel like I read more about video games than actually playing them. That's probably true right now, as I do play Guitar Hero III from time to time (I'm getting better..) , but as a whole video games are not a main staple in my life. That will probably change once Super Smash Brothers Brawl is released, which by the way will be awesome.
After looking through the magazines, I usually go over to the Self-Improvement and Relationships section. I use to purcahse many Self-Improvement books, but I've began to realize that I have a good basis of knowledge about the subject, and at this stage in my life, I need to focus more on taking action. That didn't stop me from buying The 6 Most Important Decisions You'll Ever Make by Sean Covey. Covey wrote the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, one of the first books to truly influence my life. I was well aware that it did kind of fit into the "Self-Improvement" catagory, but I felt that I could make an exemption since the first book I read by Sean Covey had such an impact on me.
Okay, maybe I'm beginning to ramble, but hey! It's my blog.
I came upon a few interesting things in some of the books I was looking through in the Relationship section. One book detailed the differences between how a man and woman look at a relationship and the like. The part of the book I happened to turn to spoke about the differences in the sense of humor between a male and female, with scientific proof, mind you.
I found it especially humorus when the book provided examples of a joke a male would find funny, and also one for a female.
Male:
What do guys like to name their penis?
A: Because they don't want a complete stranger making all their important decisions.
(I Lol'd)
Female:
What do you talk about with your husband after sex?
A: Nothing, he's asleep.
(I also found this one funny. So what.)
Anyway. Lastly, in Barnes and Noble, I went over to the Stephen King books and purchased another one, I couldnt resist. This time I bought The Gunslinger, part one of the Dark Tower series.
After Barnes and Noble, I went to the YMCA. Very good workout.
My last activity of the day was going to Anthony Franco's with Glen and Matt. I got some Chicken Parm, YUM. Glen went to work directly after we ate, so I went in with him for a bit. Fun fact I leanred today while there. In Shoprite, the term "Graduate" is synominis with getting fired.
Hey Greg! Guess What??? You graduated! LEAVE IMMEDIATELY.
Mega lol's.
Wow. I've spent a lot of time writing this. Time well-spent. Anyway, I'm going to get ready for bed soon, I'll read a little and that will bring a conclusion to my three day weekend. Midterms back tomorrow. Preclac and Physics should be yes, English I'm not so sure about.
Except my posts the rest of the week to be significantly shorter, as school work will undoubtbly limit my free-time.
Later bros.
